How Kariyan builds its market data.

Trust comes from being able to check the work. Here is where our numbers come from, how often they update, and how your matches are calculated.

01

Where the data comes from

Kariyan reads the career pages of German companies directly, not only the large job boards, so you see roles fresh, often before they appear elsewhere.

02

How often it updates

Insight reports are built from a dated snapshot of the Kariyan Job-Index, currently from 16 August 2026. Every figure in our reports states the date it reflects, so you know how current it is.

03

Removing duplicates

The same role often appears many times. We detect and remove duplicates, so counts reflect the real number of open roles.

04

Language detection

For each role we determine the working language from the posting text, so you can reliably tell German and English roles apart.

05

Remote detection

Remote, hybrid, and on-site are classified from the posting, rather than trusting a single field.

06

Role classification

Titles are grouped into roles with rules. Clusters below a minimum sample size are not published, so no figure rests on too little data.

07

How we match

Matches are scored deterministically against your skills and preferences, with versioned rule-based logic rather than a black box. Every score is explainable, in line with GDPR and the EU AI Act.

What we do not claim

We do not publish salaries from our job index, or interview and success rates we cannot back up. Where numbers are missing, we say so.
