Cookie Policy
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, provide functionality, and give website owners information about how their site is used.
2. How We Use Cookies
Kariyan uses essential cookies required for the service to function and, with your consent, analytics cookies to understand how the product is used and advertising cookies to measure the effectiveness of ads on Google and Meta. Advertising and analytics cookies are blocked by default and are only activated after your explicit consent via the cookie banner.

4. Analytics Cookies
When you consent to analytics cookies, the following tools are used:
- Google Analytics (GA4): Measures page views, scrolls, and feature usage to help us improve the product. Loaded via Google Tag Manager. All four Consent Mode v2 Advanced signals (analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) are denied by default and only activated after you explicitly consent via the cookie banner.
- PostHog (posthog-js): Product usage analytics, initialized after analytics consent. It uses local storage and may associate usage with a pseudonymous account identifier. The processing region depends on the configured PostHog project.
Analytics cookies are never set without your prior consent. You can withdraw consent at any time using the "Manage cookies" option in the website footer.
5. Advertising Cookies
When you consent to advertising cookies, the following tools may set cookies:
- Google Ads (via Google Tag Manager): Conversion tracking to measure whether ad clicks lead to sign-ups. Requires consent for ad_storage and ad_user_data signals. When cookies are declined, Google Consent Mode v2 with URL passthrough enables aggregate conversion modelling without setting cookies.
- Meta Pixel: Conversion tracking and custom audience matching for Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ads. This is planned but not yet active. It will only be loaded after you explicitly consent to advertising cookies.
Advertising consent controls ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization. Analytics consent separately controls analytics_storage. You can change either choice through Manage cookies in the footer.
6. Local Storage
Kariyan uses browser local storage for session state and preferences. When you consent to analytics, PostHog also stores an analytics identifier locally and sends consented usage events to its service.
7. Managing Cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies will prevent Kariyan from functioning correctly, you will not be able to stay logged in.
8. Withdrawing Cookie Consent
You can change or withdraw your cookie preferences at any time by clicking "Manage cookies" in the website footer. This will reopen the cookie preferences dialog where you can update your choices. Changes take effect immediately. Previously collected analytics data based on prior consent remains lawfully processed.
Alternatively, you can clear cookies through your browser settings.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we introduce new cookies or change existing ones, we will update this policy and notify users of significant changes via email.
